Project Background:

Orangetheory Fitness, initially wanted treadmills equipped with an LED console with hard key buttons that would allow exercisers to easily adjust speed and incline during classes. Our team participated in an Orangetheory class to empathize with the exerciser’s environment. We paired that experience with several meetings with Orangetheory management that revealed several pain points. With this deeper understanding, we knew Orangetheory needed a more robust solution to support their future growth and technology vision.

Results:

After identifying with and empathizing key pain points, were able to iterate treadmill screen concepts quickly to deliver not only viable product solutions, but a broader vision. Collectively, we were able to shift the expectations of product and business strategy to enable opportunities with the power of a digital interface – and furthermore, earn the Orangetheory Fitness business.
